We are currently in need of a skilled Installer or Carpenter for our team, locations at 9475 W. Laraway Rd. Frankfort, IL and 2630 N. Farnsworth Avenue. Hours: Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (No Nights, No Sundays!)


Compensation: Depends on Experience

Southwest Fireplace is looking to hire an experienced technician or carpenter to be responsible for the production and quality of the products they install according to a range of tasks to be completed, as assigned daily. Timely production, quality of work and maintaining a safe work environment are crucial in this role. The ideal candidate will bring the following to the Southwest Fireplace team: framing skills, solid work ethic, experience in carpentry, masonry, fireplaces or the like, gas-line experience, electrical experience, willingness to learn, and valid driver’s license.

The Carpenter or Technician is responsible for completing a variety of job tasks involving general carpentry, drywall, and fireplace, mantel, stone or gas grill installation. Job responsibilities vary to your experience, capabilities, and training. This position will also require performing general labor duties as needed. Other job duties include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities Include:

  • Able to operate various hand tools, power tools and equipment used to complete fireplace, outdoor patio, and related installation, in a safe and responsible manner
  • Complete daily jobs as assigned, effectively communicate (both verbal and written) with the Sales Project Managers and administrative team
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Read and interpret instructions and specifications
  • Customer and quality focus, respectful customer interactions
  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs and work in various conditions: outdoors or on construction jobsites
